Choosing the right seeds for a restoration project can be a daunting task. We developed a tool to make it easier for Colorado lands. It is a mobile app available by searching for ‘Colorado Seed Tool’ from either the App store or Google Play store on your smartphone. The tool requires the user to know only the county and elevation of their project site. It can be tailored for specific management needs including erosion control, elk habitat, pollinator habitat and many others. We will cover how to use the tool to create a menu of seed choices, and then how to select from those choices to design a seed mix.
