Join the Grand Valley Paddling Club, The Gear Junction, and Mesa County Public Works for the 19th Annual Colorado River Cleanup on Saturday, September 9th! Last year over 48 yards of trash were cleaned from the river. Help us beat that number this year!
At this event, participants will clean up nearly 34 miles of the Colorado River, divided into 5 sections. Start and end times dependent on the river section. Participant roles will include water volunteers and ground crews. Volunteers must make their own arrangements for a boat (or other rivercraft) to be part of the water crew.
After all of their hard work, volunteers can head to the Appreciation BBQ from 5-8 PM at Las Colonias to enjoy some food, meet other people in the boating community, and have a chance to win prizes!
