Join RiversEdge West for a volunteer event with Colorado Parks and Wildlife at Fruita State Park on September 10, 2026 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

This event will be at the James M. Robb Colorado River State Park - Fruita Section. Primary tasks will be cutting pampas grass seed heads, building slash piles for wildlife habitat, and improving river recreational areas with mulch. Other tasks may include: pulling weeds, adjusting or installing protective caging around plants, marking trails and closing social trails, planting native plants, etc.

Light snacks and coffee will be provided. Work will all be outside, so please bring water, proper work attire (we recommend pants, close-toed shoes, and long sleeves), and sun protection. Specialized tools will be provided, but you may also bring your own.

Park entrance fees will be waived for volunteers at this event. We will meet by the large pavilion that is your first left turn after entering the park.

This is a free event, but registration/rsvp is required.
