Join RiversEdge West for a volunteer event at Las Colonias with the City of Grand Junction on July 8, 2026 from 8 am - 10 am.
At this event we will be removing invasive plants from the bank of the river park slough at Los Colonias. We will focus on removing cocklebur and tamarisk, but work may include removal of other invasive plants.
Light snacks and coffee will be provided. Work will all be outside, so please bring water, proper work attire (we recommend pants, close-toed shoes, and long sleeves), and sun protection. Specialized tools will be provided, but you may also bring your own.
We will meet at the pavilion and restrooms to the east of the amphitheater. You can find directions here.
